Five months after becoming a father, Shia LaBeouf has finally revealed his daughter’s name.
“I have a little girl, Isabel,” the 36-year-old actor wrote in an email published by Variety Friday.
“She is five months old and just starting to develop the last half of her smile; it’s AMAZING,” LaBeouf continued.
The “Even Stevens” alum also praised his on-again, off-again partner, Mia Goth, in his email to Olivia Wilde.
“My wife and I have found each other again and are on our way to a healthy family with love and mutual respect,” he said.
Goth, 28, gave birth to their daughter in March, with news of the baby arriving the following month.
While LaBeouf and the actress had kept the newborn’s gender and name a secret until now, he chose to talk about their family after Wilde’s accusations that she fired him from her upcoming movie “Don’t Worry Darling.”
The former Disney Channel star claimed in his email that he “stopped” the project because he “couldn’t find time to rehearse,” asking Wilde, 38, to “correct the story.”
His response came after the director of “Booksmart” alleged to Variety that she fired LaBeouf from the project in order to “protect” his co-stars and keep them “safe” from his “belligerent energy.”
LaBeouf acknowledged that although he was charged with abuse by ex FKA Twigs in 2021 and subsequently sought treatment, there is a “time and place” to address that “fundamental and real” scandal.
However, he wrote that Wilde’s allegations “will never get a date in court”, adding: “If lies are repeated enough in public, they become truth. And so it makes it much harder for me to get out of it.” hole that I have dug with my behavior, to provide for my family.”
LaBeouf, who replaced Harry Styles in the film, also shared screenshots with the magazine of text messages Wilde reportedly sent him in August 2020 about his departure.
In one message, the former “House” star wrote to LaBeouf that it “don’t feel right to say no to someone,” thanking him for his “honesty.”
She is also said to have told the “Disturbia” star in a video that she was “not ready to give up” that he played Jack in the film.
Wilde asked if there was any “hope” for his return if he and lead actress Florence Pugh could “make peace,” hinting at disagreements between the near-co-stars.
“I am also heartbroken and I want to sort this out,” Wilde is said to have said in the footage. “I want to know if you’re open to giving this a shot, with me, with us.”
The news of LaBeouf’s denial comes a day after the ‘Honeyboy’ star’s YouTube interview with Bishop Barron, in which he revealed he was suicidal over previous scandals and converted to Catholicism after filming ‘Padre Pio’ .
“I didn’t want to be alive when all this happened,” he said. “This was the last stop of the train. There was nowhere else to go – in every way.”
“Don’t Worry Darling” hits theaters September 23.
