Keke Palmer gets real about her skin problems.
The “Nope” star posted a candid makeup-free Instagram video on Wednesday, sharing the current state of her skin tone and asking why doctors haven’t yet managed to “cure” adult acne.
“I was just thinking about how great plastic surgeons are, okay? They can give you a boob job, above the muscle, under the muscle, liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL, they can even implant muscle, I mean the list goes on,” Palmer, 28, began.
“But they can’t figure out how to clean up someone’s skin? All these years and all those inventions, don’t you know how to take the beautiful skin off my ass and put it on my face?’
The “Hustlers” actress didn’t hold back to express her annoyance, continuing, “I’m sick of it. I’ve had enough. People here are struggling with adult acne, and you haven’t discovered that cure yet? I’m done. “
Palmer further took the point home with her caption, writing, “We also want the FAST FIX… My housemaid walks out of the hospital the same day with a DONK. I also want INSTANT results… Plastic surgeons, you guys want to know where the real money is WHEN RELEASING ACNE.”
In 2020, Palmer revealed she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, which often causes acne and facial hair. At the time, the “Alice” actress said her skin was “so bad that people in my field offered to pay for me to get it fixed. I’ve tried EVERYTHING.”
Palmer said neither Accutane nor diet changes helped, adding, “My skin has made me sad for many nights, but I’m not giving up on myself… MY ACNE NEVER STOPPED ME.”
Shortly after, the star shared her “extreme acne makeup coverage tutorial” on social media, which included a number of different concealers, foundations, and powders.
“Everything can be covered except an ugly heart,” she joked during the demonstration.
