When it comes to basics loved by celebrities, it’s hard to top this tank.
Olivia Wilde, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner are among the many celebrities who have styled Hanes’ White Tanks ($9 for a 5-pack) with a polished and relaxed look.
Wilde styled hers with faded denim and a Balenciaga blazer ($3,050) at the San Sebastián International Film Festival on Tuesday, doubling the look just two days later with a similar jacket-and-jeans combo in NYC.
As for other ways to wear the style staple? Don’t worry (rather), Wilde has us covered.
She’s made the piece a wardrobe workhorse lately, whether she paired it with a sparkly Anita Ko bracelet ($7,250) in Venice or with white wide-leg pants at a screening of “Don’t Worry.” Darling” in Los Angeles.
Perhaps the director of ‘Booksmart’ takes a page from Kourtney Kardashian’s book; the star once shared with Poosh that she buys suits from the tanks in XS “so they’re super fitted and cropped.” (Her favorites are sold in kid sizes, so be sure to size up if you’re looking for a looser fit.)

Most recently, the reality star brought some edge to the classic top when she styled it with Courrèges cropped pants and a leather jacket in an Instagram photo earlier this month.
As with many styles, a love for the timeless tanks seems to run in the Kardashian-Jenner family; Kendall Jenner’s also wore both shorter and full-length versions several times.
But perhaps the most creative Hanes celebrity fan is Julia Fox, who added a DIY and super skin-baring element to the men’s version of the tank in March ($11 for a 3-pack).

“The nice thing about this is that you can really decide whether you want it to be a bra, or whether you want it to be a crop top,” she told Instagram followers of changing her tank (in a size small) into “a cute one.” small set” with a few simple clippings.
Whoever you draw inspiration from, one thing’s for sure: There are plenty of ways to make this celebrity-approved staple, well, anything but simple.
